Tom Hardy Recorded a Mixtape in 1999 And Now You Can Listen To It

Tom Hardy Recorded a Mixtape in 1999 And Now You Can Listen To It

January 18, 2018 (December 7, 2022) // Riot Fest

Before Tom Hardy became an actor, he wanted to be a rapper. And now we have the proof.

“I started out rapping when I was 14 or 15,” Tom Hardy told BBC Newsbeat in 2011.

“Because I come from a nice middle-class neighbourhood it was a very hard sell. And I wasn’t very good!”

“I used to be with the guy who managed Leela James and Lauren Hill, Pras, the Fugees and all that. I worked out with (Grammy winning producers) Warren Riker and Gordon Williams. I’ve recorded loads of stuff but it’s never been released.”

It hasn’t been released until now that is.

Rapping under the name Tommy No. 1, he recorded with Eddie Too Tall, aka writer/director Edward Tracy. Now those unfinished recordings have been uploaded to Bandcamp by Tracy.

Check it out below.
