Tickets, Refunds & FAQs: Read This Before You Ask!
Hey you. We know you have (seemingly endless) questions. We have answers. Hopefully. Read our most frequently asked questions and save yourself the shame and embarrassment of asking us a question we’ve already answered. Okay, it’s not that bad, but still. We’re just trying to help.
Will Riot Fest 2020 take place?
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and to ensure the safety of everyone, Riot Fest 2020 has been postponed and rescheduled for September 17-19, 2021.
Will My Chemical Romance still be headlining?
You bet, and we just announced the first wave lineup too—The Smashing Pumpkins, Run the Jewels, Pixies, and more have been added. Take a look.
I already bought tickets to Riot Fest 2020. Is my ticket good for next year?
Yes! We hope you plan to join us in 2021. If you choose to hang on to your 2020 ticket, you’ll get admission to an exclusive Thursday Preview Party free of charge! If this sounds good to you, then no further action is necessary. You don’t have to let us know—your order number will stay the same, and your ticket will automatically transfer to 2021.
Huh? What’s a Thursday Preview Party?
Those who already have a ticket to Riot Fest 2020, or anyone who buys a ticket in the next 30 days, will gain admission to a special Thursday Preview Party on September 16, 2021. Enjoy special mystery sets from to-be-announced bands (including one exclusive to Thursday!), get first dibs on merch, and ride all the carnival rides you never had the time for before.
Is there an option to buy just a ticket to the Preview Party?
No, this special addition to Riot Fest is exclusive to current ticket holders or those that purchase tickets by July 16, 2020.
What steps are you taking to ensure the health and safety of artists and patrons at your events?
We are working on new health and safety protocols, which will continue to evolve as new guidelines are issued by public health authorities, to ensure the festival is safe and comfortable for everyone to attend.
I can’t go, but I’d like to give my ticket to a friend.
You’re a good friend. We’re allowing ticket transfers for 30 days (until July 16, 2020). Please visit Eventbrite.com for instructions on how to complete the transfer via your Eventbrite account.
I need a refund for my 2020 ticket. What do I do?
We’re bummed to hear this, but we understand that times are tough.
To request a refund for your 2020 ticket, please do so via Tixel by July 16, 2020. Please allow 30 days past the refund period for the refund to process.
Here’s the fine print on refunds:
- Refunds are only available for RF 2020 tickets, i.e. tickets purchased before June 16, 2020 at 3:00pm CT.
- We can only refund the original ticket purchaser. If the card you used to buy your ticket(s) has since expired, your bank usually will reroute the refund to your current account.
- If you didn’t buy your ticket directly through Eventbrite (our official ticketing partner), we can’t offer you a refund. Please contact the person/party you purchased your ticket through to inquire about refunds.
- We’re working as hard as we can to speed up the process of getting refunds out. That being said, this process will take some time and we appreciate your patience.
- If you file for a refund but end up changing your mind, just send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll get it sorted out. Once the 30-day refund period is over, you won’t be able to change the status of your refund request.Once again: if you just want to hold onto your ticket, no further action is required. You don’t have to let us know, or do anything else—your 2020 ticket is automatically good for 2021.
MORE QUESTIONS (WITH MORE ANSWERS)…
What if I bought my ticket from a secondary site?
We are only able to assist those who purchased tickets from our official ticketing partner, Eventbrite. If you did not purchase your ticket directly from Eventbrite, please contact the person/party you purchased your ticket through.
What if I purchased my ticket(s) using the payment plan AFFIRM?
A: If you purchased through Affirm and would like to keep your ticket(s) for next year, you can continue making payments as normal. If you opt for a refund, you must first complete the refund request via Tixel. Your ticket(s) will then be canceled via Eventbrite and the refund process will begin. Please allow 30 days from the end of the request period for processing. If you have any further questions, please visit affirm.com/help.
I purchased my ticket but when I try to log in to my Eventbrite account, it won’t let me in?
In most cases such as this, it is likely you haven’t received your order confirmation. One reason may be the email address was entered incorrectly during your initial account setup. To resolve, please contact [email protected].
