Duke the Great Pyrenees is a good dog. So good, he’s been reelected to his third term as mayor of Cormorant, a tiny Western Minnesota town of about 1,000 residents.
At the 6th Annual Cormorant Daze festival, where people pay $1 per vote, Duke ran unopposed. Running on what we assume is a very strong anti-cat platform, he currently has a very high approval rating.
“I don’t know who would run against him,” Karen Nelson told WDAY 6. “He’s done such great things for the community.”
