On August 27 4AD will release a 30th anniversary reissue of The Birthday’s Party’s seminal album Junkyard. The package will include a 180 gram vinyl pressing of the original LP (mastered from the 2000 remaster supervised by Henry Rollins), a bonus “Release the Bats” 7″ single, which was newly mastered for 2012 and a CD version of all twelve tracks. The album was the last studio full length from The Birthday Party, who these days are best known as being Nick Cave’s pre-Bad Seeds band.
