Josh Berwanger is a busy guy. He’s a dad. He’s a friend to many. And he’s also a member of three currently active bands: The Anniversary, Radar State and Berwanger. He’s playing three shows in Chicago with two of those bands over the next nine days—The Anniversary is headlining Würst Music & Beer Fest this Saturday night with fellow heartlanders Shiner. He’ll then rock a Radar State bang-bang the following weekend, hitting Riot Fest‘s Heather Owen Stage on Friday, September 15th at 3:00pm, and the hat trick will be complete following their set at Concord Music Hall’s Late Night show the following night with New Found Glory and Bayside.
Josh also has a very creative, hilarious mind. For proof, look no further than the interview interview he gave Dan Ozzi at Noisey over text upon the release of Berwanger’s excellent-but-overlooked debut record, Strange Stains, which came out around this time in 2013 via Good Land Records. Not to be outdone by Ozzi the Great and Powerful, we set out to publish something about Josh Berwanger that is just as unique, if not more. Josh and I started planning it last night, and here’s a little peak into how the Würst is made…
We’ll let you know if we come up with anything good to publish.
