On January 12th, Dr. Demento will be releasing a new two-hour compilation titled Covered In Punk, with over 60 tracks of punk covers of novelty songs and novelty covers of punks songs including “thirty different, never before released, all-new ‘punk’ cover versions of ‘mad music and crazy comedy’ songs famously heard on the airwaves of the legendary “Dr Demento Show”—have been intermixed with ‘wild card’ tracks showcasing some incredible, newly ‘demented’ versions of punk-rock classics!”
The compilation has songs from the Misfits, Joan Jett, Fred Schneider of the B52s,William Shatner, Adam “Batman” West, Elvira and many more, like “Weird Al” Yankovic who you can listen cover Ramones ‘Beat on the Brat”.
