Pendleton has attended a couple adoption events so we’ve gotten to know him outside of the shelter. He’s still strong on leash and can be vocal at all the goings on in the “real” world. But, he also shows his affectionate side after he calms down. He enjoys lying down in the grass and rolling on his back, letting people pet his belly. He can calm down, he just needs to get out of the shelter to do it.
Pendleton is a bigger guy who can pull you all over the yard on leash. When we hung out in a playlot all he wanted to do was check out the other dogs in the yard, so I took him somewhere more quiet to get to know each other. Pendleton enjoys chest and back scratches and has really soft fur. He was shedding a bit when we here hanging out, but he hasn’t had a bath in a while too. He didn’t show interest in treats or toys today – just attention.

Pendleton has started to attend dog playgroup. He will engage in some fast chase but really only wants to hump his play partners. He does respond to correction initially, but goes straight back to humping.
