2021 marks the 25th anniversary of Mike Park’s DIY record label, Asian Man Records. Operating out of his father’s garage in Monte Sereno, California since 1996, Mike has been making, selling, and distributing music that’s impacted countless with his message of social justice and the importance of grassroots organizing.
Rather than recounting the label’s numerous accomplishments, It Came From The Garage delves into the lasting impression Mike made on one Korean-American high school student in central Florida during the early 2000s (spoilers: it’s me).
