Our favorite band in the world is putting out quite possibly the coolest vinyl single we’ve ever seen. Naked Raygun has just launched a Kickstarter for a new 7″ record + comic book combo. Check it out here.
To celebrate their first new record in 30 years, Naked Raygun have teamed up with comic book artists James Romberger & Josh Bayer to release a stunning etched 7″ of “Broken Things” with an accompanying 14-page comic book. The comic is an interpretation of the song, described as “a visually-driven story drawing on the chaos of our times that unfolds in a sort of deconstructivist spiral”. The two artists will work together on separate sections of the same page.

The project is being headed up by Xylophone founder Jason Mojica, who has experience with both publishing comic books and running a label, the Chicago-based Rocco Records (The Fighters, 88 Fingers Louie, The Bollweevils). See the Kickstarter here and check out the various Raygun goodies you can get for supporting the project.
