Did you just do a random Google search that landed you on this post? In our new series, Your New Favorite Band, our talent team hand-picks new music for YOU, based on the music you currently like.
This month we’re digging into a submission from Michael S. from Wisconsin, who has a proclivity to Midwest emo and metalcore.
But why are we doing this? Because discovering new music is hard. Each month we’ll have picks from our talent team, updates to our playlists, monthly picks, Under The Radar artists from Taylor, and Mo’s selections from RF’s TikTok. That means you should be able to find new, cool tunes to listen to every single month, so check back often, or sign up for emails!
In addition to all that, we’ll occasionally dip into the submissions, like we’re doing for Michael below, from people just like Y-O-U who are looking for a new music.
Since Michael S. has such a wide range, we’re going to stick with just one of the two genres he likes: metalcore.
Here’s just a few of the artists Michael likes:
Streetlight Manifesto, Emery, Cattle Decapitation, The Floozies, Emery, Great Grandpa, I’m Glad It’s You, Just Surrender, Marietta, Matchbook Romance, Thursday, Midwest Pen Pals, William Bonney, Pool Kids, As I Lay Dying, and even 100 gecs!
Given Michael’s submission, we’re going to recommend…
The Ghost Inside
If you live near Chicago or in Wisconsin like Michael, you can see the band this Thursday at Concord!
Check out The Ghost Inside below, and if you have interests similar to Michael’s, then you should check out the show coming up at Concord with solid support from Paleface Swiss, Bleed From Within, and Great American Ghost!
