It’s October! That means scary movie marathons and pumpkin carving, but that also means its Filipino-American History Month. Much like any other pinoy, I have an immense love for my home country and culture. Generations upon generations of Filipino-Americans have cultivated
new definitions on what it means to be Filipino and how to pay homage to our roots.
Due in part to shows like The Bear, Filipino restaurants like Kasama have lines down the block and boy, I do love to see my people winning. But if you want to taste even more Filipino fare in the city, I’ve got some picks here for you. Whether it’s something sweet or savory, or even lovingly from my home island of Cebu, I’m positive you’ll find something tasty.
This October, I hope you’ll join me in supporting some of these restaurants below that celebrate the best parts of being perfectly Filipino.
Mabuhay!
