“We Got Power!” fanzine collection coming next month, The Middle Class & Meat Puppets playing book release show

This week some details of the release of the collected We Got Power were released. WE GOT POWER! Hardcore Punk Scenes From 1980s Southern California will begin shipping on October 5 and is available for pre-order now. It contains the complete run of the We Got Power! fanzine from Dave Markey and Jordan Schwartz. You can check out the full list of interviewees below along with the book’s cover.

On October 6 at the Track 16 Gallery in Santa Monica, CA there will be a book release/gallery closing show with The Middle Class (who most consider the first hardcore band) and The Meat Puppets. You can check out more details on that (free) show here. The gallery is being torn down to make way for the L.A. light rail commuter train tracks.
