Courtney Barnett is doing pretty okay these days. With the well-deserved buzz surrounding the Grammy-nominated Australian-born singer as of late, she’s pushed the ante up some by recruiting some notable cameos for her latest music video “Elevator Operator.” And, it’s pretty damn good.
With the likes of Sleater-Kinney, Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, Tain Stangret and Magda Szubanski, members of Camp Cope, Batpiss, Ouch My Face, The Finks, The Drones, Tim Rogers from You Am I, and songwriter Paul Kelly, joining Barnett for “Elevator Operator,” it’s becoming increasingly clear that the 28-year-old singer is cementing herself as one of the most genuine young artists out now just by virtue of association.
But, for those who still haven’t given here a listen, you probably should because Sometimes I Sit and Think and Sometimes I Just Sit, just simply is impressive.
