Jackson is a 3-year-old, neutered male who came into the shelter on 12/28 as a stray.
Jackson loves to play fetch, but he’s still learning how to give up his ball, so you need to play “2-Ball Fetch” with him. How do you play “2-Ball Fetch”? Well…throw ball #1…when Jackson brings it back…have ball #2 ready. When he drops ball #1, throw ball #2 and then pick up ball #1. Rinse. Wash. Repeat. He enjoys the game and he learns that he needs to drop his toy to get the next one. Jackson is more interested in toys than treats. He will take treats gently, but he’d rather you give him a ball.
Jackson has started to attend dog playgroup, but he’s still getting his feet wet playing with other dogs. He is not comfortable with contact from dogs yet and needs easy play partners who are respectful of his needs.
