Sol is a little stressed out right now because she’s CACC’s longest term resident. She’s came in as a stray in December 9th, and just wants to find her forever home. In her kennel, Sol is friendly and offers tail wags. She’s easy to leash up and get out, but can be strong on leash – when this girl has somewhere she wants to go (particularly outside, to go potty), she will go!
Sol is easily distracted by everything going on at the shelter; dogs walking by, dogs barking, people paging over the intercom, etc., so I brought her back inside to a quiet area where we could hang out. Once there was a little less action in the hallway around us, Sol really opened up to me. She’s so sweet! Kisses your face, full body lean-ins for pets – the whole 9 yards. Once she has some time to decompress, Sol is such a different dog. Sol enjoys back scratches in particular and takes treats very gently. Just be patient with her and you will see all of the wonderful qualities she has to offer.
