Marley is a water dog. Marley is also the kid that pees in the pool with no shame. He proceeded to frolic in the water often biting at it. All joking aside, Marley caught a tough break. He was adopted in April 2017 and returned 14 months later, no reason given. He appears to have been well fed but not properly exercised physically or mentally. Marley is very playful, loves chasing toys, bringing them back, but doesn’t seem to know drop to continue the game. He does know sit and takes treats gently. He is a bit wild on the leash at first but settled into step as time went on. No issues with handling and didn’t show any reactivity to the other dogs. When it was time to go back in kennel, Marley took some convincing. He knows the loneliness of the shelter all too well.
Marley has not done well on playgroup tests so far due to some anxiety and just not being used to other dogs, so we recommend him as being the only dog in a home for now.
