Doofy seems like he’s going to be a lot of dog in his cage. He barks for attention and jumps up on the cage, but when I opened the door to his cage that behavior subsided. Doofy was easy to leash up and went straight for the door. Outside he appeared to be potty trained and very interested in all the activities happening around him.
Doofy loved to play with toys and didn’t guard them at all. He seems motivated by treats and loves attention. When you’re petting him, he’s a very happy boy. Despite his cage presence, Doofy is a rather easy guy who just craves attention. He’s a big, young, dumb pup! He’s got sharp dewclaws and will jump up for attention, so careful of that. He doesn’t mean any harm. Met another dog on leash test and did well. No issues handling him or returning him to his cage. Had a good look at his shiny white teeth, touched his paws, and gave him a hug.
Doofy is a 1.5 year old neutered male who came into the shelter on 7/31 as a stray.
