Chicago Animal Care and Control is out of room for new intake. Unfortunately, at an all access shelter like Chicago’s, no dogs can be turned away and therefore, when there is no cage space, dogs are euthanized. In order to avoid losing the lives of wonderful dogs, WE NEED ADOPTERS! Serilda is one of the dogs in danger this week.

What does this mean? It means that *almost* every dog within the facility is available to be adopted. We are bound to have the perfect partner for your family and home.

Serilda has a face that feels familiar but also hard to place. Maybe it’s deja vu or maybe it’s destiny. Regardless of the reason, she will make you grateful for making her acquaintance. She is easy to leash. Outside she is all about the smells and likes to take her time getting places. She’s engaging and independent at the same time. Serilda knows sit which she does with a bit of attitude kicking one leg out to the side and doesn’t require food rewards to do it. She really wasn’t into treats outside but will take them once back in her kennel. She loves to rub her body like a kitty against you while cuddling and even tried going under my legs like an obstacle course. Serilda gives her paw on command then looks away when you try to congratulate her but then continues to give paw. Her sass is hilarious. Serilda is insanely smart and is a GREAT fetch partner. What’s so cool is she will even drop the ball for you so you can keep playing. Serilda is really sad at the shelter and would love a home to play, snuggle, and be loved in.
