All Riot Fest Merch Proceeds Support Affinity Community Services Today

All Riot Fest Merch Proceeds Support Affinity Community Services Today

100% of profits from RiotBrand.org today will support Black queer lives
June 19, 2020 (February 27, 2025) // Riot Fest

Today, in celebration of Juneteenth, all profits from RiotBrand.org will be donated to Affinity Community Services, a social justice organization serving the needs of the Black LGBTQ+ community. The Chicago nonprofit has been operating on the South Side for over 25 years, with a particular focus on Black queer women.

Buy whatever you want in our merch store today, and 100% of the proceeds will go towards Affinity. The funds will help further expand services towards Black LGBTQ+ people, supporting community-led educational efforts on topics of healing justice, conflict de-escalation, emergency response intervention, and transformative community care. You can can also donate directly to the group’s #25AndBeyond campaign and help reach their goal of $50,000 by the end of the month.

In light of Pride Month and the protests surrounding the murder of George Floyd, it is crucial now more than ever for us to say that Black Lives Matter and Trans Lives Matter. Pledging money to a group like Affinity is just one way to act on those words.

More about Affinity Community Services:

Affinity Community Services is a Black-led, queer-led organization that was proudly founded by Black lesbians in 1995 on Chicago’s Southside. We work to end the marginalization of Black LGBTQ+ people globally. Through activism, education, and transformative justice practices, we build avenues for collective action, racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and community care.
