The Bombpops‘ vocalist and guitarist Jen Razavi, or Jen Pop, takes a bold new direction with her second solo release. “Can’t Go Back” captures the complex power dynamics of a rocky relationship through Razavi’s unique moody pop and post-punk sound.
Following her debut single “Saw In Half,” Razavi leans further into dark-pop influences, like K. Flay and The Cardigans, on “Can’t Go Back.” Grammy-nominated producer Will Yip helped to bring Razavi’s sincere vision to life in the emotive single.
Directed by Mike Rivkees, the accompanying music video illustrates Razavi’s resolution, as she packs up her belongings and decides to leave her partner behind. Listen to “Can’t Go Back” and check out the music video below.
