It’s a happy Wednesday because we’ve got new music from American Steel! Their new song is called “Long Day (Acoustic)” and it’s a B-side to the “Rotting” single that will be released on Friday, February 27. Their self-titled album is out on Red Scare on March 20, 2026. Red Scare had this to say about the upcoming release:
We got so excited about working with American Steel that we had to drop a “Digital 45” teaser to fan the flames. (That’s also a nod to their hometown of Oakland—very famous for fires.) In addition to their blistering “Rotting” single from 1998, we somehow convinced the band to go into the studio and add a B-side. As massive fans, a NEW AmSteel song is a major coup for us, and we know you’ll appreciate this bonus track too.
