Tom Gabel comes out as transgender, set to begin transition via therapy

In this week's issue of Rolling Stone (on newstands Friday) Against Me! frontman Tom Gabel will officially announce his intentions to transition his gender via hormone and electrolysis therapy. When the transition is complete (without any plans of surgery at this point) Gabel will take the name Laura Jane Grace. In the preview on Rolling Stone's website Gabel reveals

This morning Deathwish Inc. announced plans for a split EP with Napalm Death and Converge. The 7"/digital download is set to feature one new song and an Entombed cover (with a list of special guests) from Converge along with two new Napalm Death songs. Mike Pascal leaves Coliseum

This afternoon Ryan Patterson announced via the Coliseum Facebook page that long time bassist Mike Pascal has left the group. Pascal joined the band in the fall of 2004 and his first recording with the band was 2005's Goddamage 12". For their next show (with Tragedy on May 18) they'll have a temporary fill in
