Elder statesman of hardcore Keith Morris shares stories from his life and times in a music career spanning over four decades in new memoir titled, My Damage: The Story of a Punk Rock Survivor.
Written with Jim Ruland, the book describes Morris’ coming of age in Southern California where he co-founded Black Flag and Circle Jerks during the early days of Southern California punk and hardcore, his struggles with substance abuse (he’s been sober since the late-80s) and adult onset diabetes, his numerous musical endeavors (including his latest bands OFF! and Black Flag offshoot FLAG), and tales of navigating the music world, adventure, and hijinks along the way.
