Grind fans around the world rejoice! Today Relapse Records confirmed that Pig Destroyer is now in the studio tracking their fifth album and first since 2007’s Phantom Limb. They’re self producing the still untitled record in guitarist Scott Hull’s Visceral Sound Studios in Alexandria, VA and shooting for a late 2012 release. The press sheet says the record “…is a return to a raw, primitive sound and will feature 19 songs of their signature misanthropic grind.” When there’s more information available I’ll make sure to post it here.
