The Olympics are currently on TV… in case you were living under a rock and all.
The newest internet sensation has arrived. McKayla Maroney took “winning silver medal” to a place of internet gold. She is part of the USA gymnastics team and after landing flat on her ass, literally, during her 2nd attempt at the pole vault, she settled for taking home the silver medal. While most would be thrilled, McKayla was not having any of it. At all.

The creator of the Tumblr page is 28-year-old Gavin Alaoen of New York. He registered the page on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 and it immediately took off and gained over 1,200 followers in mere hours. Don’t worry, McKayla has already seen it as is quoted saying, “this tumblr is kinda funny, made me laugh.”
There you have it. Just shows that we Americans will laugh not only at different countries, but one of our own. Now isn’t that what the Olympics are all about? Team spirit.
