For the third time, Joey “Shithead” Keithly of D.O.A. is throwing his hat in the ring of Canadian politics. He recently announced plans to be the New Democratic Party’s nominee for the riding of Coquitlam-Burke Mountain in the next provincial elections, running on a platform of fairness in government and issues relating to seniors and youths. In an interview with The Province Keithly said “I always enjoy a challenge — I think it’s going to be great. And I think it is going to be a lot of fun and exciting. And if it is not exciting, then I’ll find a way to make it exciting. It can’t just be a snooze. You got to get out there and let people know what your ideas are and the way you are running.” He will find out if he got the nomination in December.
