Gentlemen, please take a seat while relieving yourself. Stay seated throughout the whole performance. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Taiwan
If you are planning on traveling to Taiwan in the near future, there is a slight chance you might get caught in the middle of a widespread debate on proper hygiene. The minister of the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), Stephen Shen, suggests that if men were to sit down while urinating, the environment would be much cleaner. Officials are asking local governments to put up signs in public bathrooms advising them to have a seat. Taking the lead from Sweden and Japan where it is reported that 30% of men sit, the EPA wants Taiwan to follow suit. In case you were wondering, which we’re sure you were, Mr. Shen practices the art of sitting at home and in public.
Next up on the Taiwanese ban list: sprinkler dance move.
