In honor of today’s election Devo have debuted a video for their controversial new song. You can see the clip for “Don’t Roof Rack Me Bro” below. The song, released back in August, caused quite a stir with some of the band’s more conservative fans, so much so that Jerry Casale issued a statement on the song. The tune is of course about the infamous 1983 incident where Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney drove twelve hours with the family dog Seamus strapped to the roof in a carrier. All sales for the single benefit Gerald V. Casale’s Remember Seamus campaign, which in his words will attempt to “make 2012 the year where animals like Seamus are valued and honesty is praised.”
