If you’ve ever wanted to hear the former ‘Mats mouthpiece singing some traditional Christmas material, this is your day. Minneapolis alt-weekly The Current dug up Paul’s version of “Away In A Manger” and is streaming it at this location. It was originally released on Paul’s 2009 digital only EP D.G.T. which is still available for purchase for only $0.99 from Amazon. It’s worth it.
The biggest news from the Westerberg camp is obviously the covers EP he recorded with Tommy Stinson and is releasing under The Replacements’ name, which The Current says is coming “sooner rather than later” and possibly before the end of the year. When we have more info on that I’ll let you know.
