Degenerate State, a data-science blogger, has researched 222,623 songs from 7,364 rock and metal bands on over 22,314 albums and found the most ‘metal’ word in the English language.
By combining word frequency from website Dark Lyrics, and cross referencing with Brown Corpus, the 1961 general corpora of one million words in the English language, Degenerate State was able to find the “metalness” of each word.
After all the data was crunched, the study found that the most ‘metal’ word used in the English language. is ‘burn’.
