Sully A161689 • 8 months • Available for Adoption at Chicago ACC
Sully is a neutered male who came into the shelter on 2/13 as a stray. He is a silly, goofy guy and every experience is new to him. We think he lived on mostly hard/flat surfaces like a crate because his feet are so flat. It’s also pretty clear he was not walked on a leash before arriving at the shelter because he is a little cautious when it’s being put on and he just doesn’t know what to do while walking- weaving in and out of your legs. Sully is very playful and gallops around like a pony after toys. He doesn’t know how to properly take treats, but it’s understandable seeing that he hasn’t had much care before. Sully will need an adopter who is patient and willing to work with him on manners and leash training to help him grow into a great adult dog. He came in with another dog that we think was from his same litter, who was already adopted. Now, it’s Sully’s turn!
Sully has started to attend dog playgroup where he is a happy, playful fool. He loves to wrestle with his play partners. He can be overly playful at the start of play, but takes cues well and will back off and give space when needed. Sully can also be humpy, but he responds to verbal/water corrections.
