We’re obsessed with Mugsy. When he first came to us he was just the sweetest little shy guy. Now he’s still the sweetest, but has opened up and shown us his playful side too. Mugsy was easy to leash up and very easy to handle. He can pull ahead slightly on leash when he’s excited. Mugsy LOVES getting lots of pets, and cuddling in close. He lays on his belly for lots of rubs and seems to just enjoy the feeling of the green grass against his body. Mugsy is affectionate and knows “sit” on command. He also takes treats nicely and with a gentle mouth. A real love bug. Like most dogs who have been cooped up in a cage for quite some time, he would benefit from a patient home who’s willing to teach him some more manners and how to be a family dog. He’s been with us at the shelter since 5/9/17 (72 days and counting).
Mugsy often attends our off leash playgroup and has done pretty well with other social pups. He usually gets along better with the females and can sometimes be a bit selective with males and may try to let out a hump here and there.
