Check out this shitty interview we just did with Diarrhea Planet. It’s the Würst!
Primus tore it up at North Coast Music Festival last weekend, and now we have another new song from the band’s new album, The Desaturating Seven. The album comes out September 29th, it’s based on a children’s book from 1978 called The Rainbow Goblins, and it’s Primus’s first with the original lineup since 1995’s Tales from the Punchbowl. Enjoy “The Scheme,” and remember: Primus sucks.
Twin Peaks (the Chicago band, not the TV thing) has released another set of tunes as a part of the band’s Sweet ’17 Singles 7-inch subscription series. Today they’ve revealed “Come For Me” and “Fat Chance.” Based on the music, this band seems to have a wide range of influences. They should DJ at a party someday…
Check out part one of three of the Oral History of Riot Fest over at Alternative Press today. Part two comes tomorrow, and part three will surface on, you guessed it, Friday!
IN OTHER NEWS…
Brooklyn Vegan interviewed Mike and Tim Kinsella from Cap’n Jazz on a wide range of topics, including how excited they are to be playing right before Dinosaur Jr. and Jawbreaker at Riot Fest this year. Can’t say we blame them.
Rolling Stone interviewed John Doe and Exene Cervenka from X, and they reminisce on being a band for 40 years.
