Cookie recently went to an adoption event in the suburbs and did sooooo well in the car going and returning. She chewed on a ball on the way there and passed out on the way back. At the event, she was interested in all the activity and met some dogs she did ok with. She really wanted to go for a long walk and play instead of sit around and not do much. We hoped she would find a home with a big yard for her to play in, but it wasn’t in the cards for her that day. Her home is out there waiting for her. We know it! If you give Cookie a ball, you’ve made her day. That’s all she really wants. We played 2-ball fetch and she was working on dropping her ball to get the other one thrown. When she got tired of that she found a shady spot to rest under with her trusty ball. She doesn’t guard or protect the ball – it’s just like her thing she likes having close by. Cookie is pretty independent from what we’ve seen. She is happy to be off on her own doing her own thing. So if you’re looking for a snuggle partner, she may not be your girl. But if you want to play fetch and have a nice dog around who isn’t under your feet – check Cookie out.
