Video Premiere: Taking Back Sunday on ‘Where You Want To Be’ 15 Years LaterThe band’s sophomore LP was released 15 years ago today
Taking Back Sunday is celebrating 20 years of being a band this year. They’ve come a long way since 1999, and are undoubtedly a big part of our festival’s history—2019 will mark the band’s 6th time playing Riot Fest. So it’s only fitting for us to premiere the latest entry in Taking Back Sunday’s Album by Album Series.
While we’re super excited to get not one, but two full album performances from Taking Back Sunday this year (2002’s Tell All Your Friends and 2006’s Louder Now), there’s a different album we’re focusing on today: Where You Want To Be, their award-winning sophomore album.
Where You Want To Be was released 15 years ago today, and we’ve got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the record, alongside tour stories and other memories from the band. The video is part of Taking Back Sunday’s ongoing Album by Album Series, chronicling the entire discography of the band. Check it out below:
You can catch up on the rest of the Album by Album Series here. Before they hit the road on the second leg of their 20th anniversary, Taking Back Sunday will hit the stage on Sunday, September 15 at Riot Fest 2019. It’s sure to be an extra special show for fans in attendance.
