With Riot Fest comes a time for many fans to bathe in nostalgia with their favorite punk act, knocking out all the hits. More than often, seeing one of your earliest favorite bands takes you back to a younger mindset; some of the first bands you latched onto would make a lasting impact on your musical tastes. For comic artists Luis Minvielle and Francisco Puchulu, that band was Simple Plan.
A Canadian pop-punk act that served as a gateway to punk for many 2000s-era teens, Simple Plan holds a special place with Minvielle and Puchulu.
