Ellie came to Orphans of the Storm a complete mess. Someone was pretty unkind to this sweet, sweet momma. She was overbred, underweight, and she was practically bald. Ellie also tested positive for heartworm, which means she was not properly cared for or vaccinated to protect her from this disease. Orphans nursed Ellie back to health and to see her now is like night and day. She looks AMAZING and is feeling SO good. It breaks our hearts that she has waited so long for her own family and that she keeps getting passed up. Come meet her, you will fall in love just like we all have.
Ellie is a lovebug. She rubs against your legs and looks up at you with a sweet doggy smile while you scratch her sides and ears. Ellie literally prances when she walks and has a constantly wagging tail. She especially enjoys gently chewing on stuffed squeaky toys but is usually good about dropping them when asked. Ellie already knows some basic commands like “sit” and is perfecting her “shake.” She is such a sweetheart! This easy-going girl wants nothing more than a family to call her own.
