When Reina came to Orphans of the Storm, she was in terrible shape. She had bad skin, bad fur, long nails, and was underweight. For a while, she was food obsessed- and for good reason. She would just stare at her shelter friends and cry for food, and didn’t seem interested in anything else. Fast forward to weeks later… We’ve seen such a change in her that warms the heart.
Reina is learning to love life! She recently found toys, she found the baby pool and that she loves it, and she now voluntarily plays with other dogs in playgroup! She still loves her treats, but doesn’t have that desperate, obsessed behavior anymore. She knows she will be fed. It’s sad that Reina had to come to a shelter to start actually enjoying life. We don’t know what her sad past was, but we do know she’s ready for her happy future and we can’t wait to see her in a loving home.
