Over the years, we’ve gotten countless requests from Riot Fest fans to host their weddings at the festival. We’ve had a handful happen on-stage and elsewhere over the years (even one officiated by festival founder Riot Mike), but understandably it can be difficult to sometimes pull off. This year, we sought to change that.
For our Thursday Preview Party, we set up a wedding chapel on the festival grounds and opened up 30 slots for completely official, fully certified marriages and vow renewals. The slots filled up immediately; by the end of the day, 32 couples walked out of Riot Fest as married couples. It was heartwarming, a huge success, and something that lots of people stopped and sat down (including many of our staff) to witness.
We’re honored that this many people wanted their special day to be at our festival—and trust us, we’ll be bringing our Wedding Chapel back for future editions. Please enjoy the following gallery of lovely, beautiful people who tied the knot at Riot Fest 2021.
