In ongoing efforts to keep the Riot Fest grounds clean, we are bringing back the creator of the “trashterpiece,” Jennifer Bachelder-Spears. With the first collage being done at Riot Fest 2019, Jen is back to encourage concert-goers to bring their trash to make some cool art.
Want to help out? We need your trash! Let’s welcome Bachelder-Spears back to Riot Fest by dropping your weird trash off at her booth (located by the community tents, right next to the water station); you’ll be entered win the finished collage if you do so, along with Riot Fest 2023 tickets! All proceeds will go to The Riot Fest Foundation, and therefore, right back into the Douglass Park/North Lawndale community.
Bachelder-Spears has been making garbage landscapes and the likes for nearly 10 years. This year, she will be bringing her creative touch to our Riot Fest trash to create the ultimate artwork. Help out Jen this year to capture the 2022 festival into a collage while being a part of something for the greater good.
Stop by the booth and help make some cool art, which you can watch develop live through each day of the fest—and if you’re too lazy to find the booth or have some other excuse, just do us a favor and pick up your trash.
