If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Little Village, Antojitos Shop is a must-visit spot. This shop offers a variety of fruits and snacks that are perfect for those who love chamoy and tajin. For those who are unfamiliar with chamoy, it is a savory sauce that can be used as a condiment. Chamoy can vary in consistency of liquid to paste, and it’s typically sweet, salty, sour, and spicy with chilis.
I recently visited and was wonderfully surprised by the wide range of options they offered. I ordered a lemonade and the Fruita Deluxe, which was a combination of mango, watermelon, pineapple, lemon, chile, thin chamoy and salsagheti (Lucas Salsagheti, mango flavored hot candy strips and tamarind flavored sauce string candy) & chamoy. The fruits were fresh, and the chamoy and tajin added a nice kick of flavor.
Antojitos Shop is a great place to go if you’re looking for a quick and delicious snack or if you want to satisfy your sweet tooth. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the products they offer, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. It’s the perfect spot for a quick snack break during a busy day or for a fun outing with friends to satisfy your cravings and bring a little bit of fun.
