Gwar has announced the first details of their annual throwdown, the Gwar-B-Q. It’s taking place Saturday August 18 at Hadad’s Lake in Richmond, VA and will feature performances on two stages from Gwar, The Casualties, GHOUL, Valient Thorr, Occultist, Lionize, Highness, Antietam 1862, MUTWAWA, Black Naked Wings and more. The report also says there will be “Spew-O-Lympics, numerous food vendors, endless streams of golden nectar, pools to cool your fevered sun-burn…” and the first appearance of the Gwar Sexecutioner in 12 years. Last year the Gwar-B-Q tried to happen at Hada’s Lake but permit problems forced a last minute change, but Gwar’s Oderus Urungus says this year it’s all taken care of and legal. Portions of the proceeds will benefit Richmond’s Ring Dog Rescue.
