Oh the joys of having cash dispensing machines available on every street corner. They’re quick, convenient, and give you cash when you need it. There is just so much these machines can do: check your balance, withdraw cash, you can even deposit checks! And then they sometimes do crazier things like dispense $1,500,000. And that’s where we cue in Mr. Jack Pot.
No his name wasn’t really Jack Pot. But Ronald Page is a real man who is now facing 15 months in prison due to a bank’s error where he was able to withdraw an unlimited amount of ATM cash from his Bank of America card. Upon finding his new financial freedom, the former General Motors employee proceeded to successfully gamble away all of the money. He will be sentences on June 27, 2012.
So… umm… do we sign up for a Bank of America card now or later?
