Pizza is arguably one of the most popular foods. It could even be considered its own food group in some cities. The toppings are endless, the shapes and sizes are limitless, and best of all—it’s cheap. Deliciously cheap.
And that is why Nino’s restaurant in New York City has a bankruptcy wish. Charging $1,000 for a pizza pie, this might be the most expensive pizza ever created to date. What does $1,000 bring you? According to the restaurant owner, “the chief topping is six different kinds of caviar, which runs around $820. So that leaves about $180 for the dough, sauce, and other toppings, including Maine lobster.”
