Though the group recently broke up after 30+ years together, R.E.M.’s past isn’t slinking away untouched. Details recently emerged on an expanded, deluxe version of the band’s fan favorite 1987 LP Document. The 2CD set will contain the original album in digitally remastered form and a previously unreleased live show from Utrecht, Holland recorded in September 1987 in a lift-top box with four postcards. There will be a 180 gram vinyl pressing of the album as well, faithfully recreating the original packaging. Both versions are set for a September 25 release. Document was the first bands fifth album and their first big mainstream hit, eventually going platinum and spawning the singles “The One I Love” and “It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine).”
