TYSON A158578 • Available for adoption at Chicago ACC
Tyson is a 6 year old male dog who came into the shelter on 11/22 as an owner surrender.
Tyson must be part hound because this guy has his nose down to the ground sniffing, sniffing, sniffing. It took us 15 minutes to walk 50 feet because he was insistent on sniffing everything in our path. In the play lot, he ignored me until he was done thoroughly inspecting every inch of yard. Once he was convinced he sniffed every inch of the lot, then he was like “Oh Hello!!” and played with me. He is very sweet. Tyson knows sit, takes treats gently. Tyson is easy to leash up and walks well on leash. Although he spends most his time at the shelter in a cage, he was once housebroken and understand that potty goes outside. He can jump up and bark at you when he wants attention, but overall he’s a pretty sweet dog with a nice energy level. Tyson has also been a part of our off leash playgroup where he likes to play rough with his pals. His best doggie matches so far are dogs who like playing the same way.
Tyson was with his previous family since he was 2 months. He used to sleep in bed with his owner. Tyson knows sit, paw, and waits to eat until he’s told. His previous owner says that he would do well with kids of any age. They also said that Tyson would live well with rodents as he’s lived with some in the past. He is afraid of vacuums, thunder, fireworks, and water – when he would be afraid he would hide or come to cuddle with his owner. We’d love Tyson to be sleeping in bed again with his new, forever home. Come meet him today at the Chicago Animal Care and Control, hours and address below…
