Daily Riot Fest Roundup

July 18, 2017 (July 29, 2017) // Riot Fest

The Replacements are releasing For Sale: Live at Maxwell’s 1986, the band’s first live album since 1985’s dicey The Shit Hits the Fans. This 29-track gem was cut to actual 2″ tape at legendary sweatbox Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ in February of 1986, and the band was particularly on that night. This show took place during the 11th hour of guitarist Bob Stinson’s tenure in the band, and features a great set list of fan favorites, “hits,” and the occasional sloppy cover song thrown in for good measure.

Rhino, who’s done a fine job of curating the band’s catalog as the 21st century’s progressed, will be releasing this bad boy on vinyl, CD and digital on October 6th. Check out “Can’t Hardly Wait” from For Sale: Live at Maxwell’s 1986, recorded a year before it was released on Pleased To Meet Me.

We’ve already told you about Nine Inch Nails‘ new Add Violence EP that comes out this Friday, and we shared the song “Less Than” with you the other day. But since you’re a rabid bunch of insatiable creatures, we give you “This Isn’t the Place,” another new track from Add Violence. You’re welcome, creatures.

Check out Minus the Bear breaking the new AV Club Undercover neon sign as they ferociously tackle the Fugazi classic “Waiting Room.” The sign never stood a chance.

What the world needs now is Propagandhi, sweet Propagandhi. Thankfully, Epitaph is putting out the band’s new album, Victory Lap, on September 29th, and have released the title track. Cool album cover too, however it’s conspicuously similar to the artwork for the Benjamins’ 2014 EP Back On Track.

Tobacco has released a new track from from Ripe and Majestic, the group’s upcoming release. Check out the blistering “Slaughtered by the Amway Guy” right here, folks.

Dessa lobbing truth bombs again and again:

Sometimes the t-shirt that presents itself as fashionably drapey in the mirror reveals itself as ill-fitting in photographs.

Andrew W.K. has a great party tip, as usual:

Kitten Forever
with a Mitski shoutout:

Still feel like “I want a love that falls as fast as a body from the balcony” is one of the best lyrics I have ever heard @mitskileaks
