Daily Riot Fest Roundup

Daily Riot Fest Roundup

July 12, 2017 // Riot Fest

The Replacements‘ Paul Westerberg has released a new song via Soundcloud. Check out “2HAWK_1” (which could very well just be the name of the file that was uploaded to the site) below, and then fondly reminisce with us about the time that The Replacements played Riot Fest thrice.

Prophets of Rage released a new single today! Check out “Living on the 110,” which is a scathing criticism on our nation’s poverty problem, specifically all of the homeless people forced to live under the 110 freeway in Los Angeles.

In a rare showing of bipartisan action, the House of Representatives unanimously voted to name the Bakersfield, CA post office after its most badass son, Merle Haggard. Would you vote against Merle? Didn’t think so.

Downtown Boys shared another song from its upcoming album, Cost of Living (which was produced by Fugazi’s Guy Picciotto and comes out August 11th on Sub Pop). Released via the Adult Swim Singles Series, here’s “Lips That Bite,” enjoy!

Happy 10th anniversary to Riot! No, we’re not wishing ourselves a happy 10th anniversary, since that would be inaccurate and also lame, but rather to Paramore. The band released its breakthrough album ten years ago today.

Vic Mensa has announced via Twitter that his new album, The Autobiography, will come out on July 28th!

This one was right in front of our faces. The entire time. Well played, Jawbreaker!

Don't you think Chewbacca looks like Jeff Bridges? Real news!

Beach Slang’s James Alex used the merch tent as a dressing room the other night..
