Remy is very treat motivated, and loves to play with any toy that he sees his handler going after. He brings it near his handler and will push it to you like he wants you to grab it, but then growls if you actually try, lol. He’ll drop anything he has and stop what he’s doing to show off his “sit” if he knows there are treats involved! Very happy to just play with the toys, chooses a lot from the bin, and does his own thing. Bigheaded lover boy. SO SMART. If you tell him to “put his toys away” or “pick out a toy” he will do just that in the play pens. VERY easy to walk, doesn’t pull at all. He doesn’t have great cage presence because he jumps and barks, but he is such a gentle giant.
Remy’s previous owner reported: He is good with strangers and good on walks. He lived with children/toddlers ages 1+. He lived with other dogs and is good with other animals per owner. He does have a prey drive with small animals. He enjoys cuddling in bed with mom and sister. He was walked 3 times a day with owner and some yard and park runs. He loves to play fetch and loves soccer balls. House trained & crate trained. Knows sit, paw, lay down, and knows english and spanish.
From owner “Remy is a baby. He loves to run and play with balls. He loves Kongs and enjoys playing with other dogs. He is great with kids. I think he’d do well in an environment where he has room to run, jump, play and be active. He is an oversized baby.”
Tested in playgroup at our shelter, we’ve realized he might need some special attention. Slow intros, can be vocal, but seems friendly. Need more information.
