What do you get when you guzzle down sweets, eating as much as an elephant eats? A freaking paycheck, apparently, if you’re one of three lucky bastards to be hired as an official chocolate taster for Cadbury.
According to the Sun, Mondelez International — the confectionary’s parent company, and the facilitator of such dope treats as the Oreo cookie, Cadbury Eggs, and Tang — is looking to hire part-time chocolate and cocoa beverage tasters.
Job requirements for the role of chocolate taster include a passion for confectionery, alert taste buds for detection, honesty and objectivity when it comes to giving an opinion, eagerness to try new and inventive products, a communicative personality to build great relationships with your panel, and the ability to articulate while keeping a firm grasp on the English language.
According to the job description, you’ll be one of about a dozen lucky gluttons working in dedicated sensory booths and discussion rooms, sharing opinions and collaborating to reach agreements on exactly how delicious the treats should actually be.
If you’ve never tasted chocolate before, that’s okay, because no experience is required. Full training will be provided to develop your taste buds and and bring you up to speed on the specific vocabulary required to communicate your chocolatey opinions. Also, what the fuck? You have got to try chocolate. It’s super delicious.
If you’re willing to move to England (yes, the job is in Reading, UK), and only get paid £9 per hour to work about eight hours per week, go ahead and apply here, fatty.
